Sunnats and Aadaab of Greeting (Salaam) – Part 26

1.One should not hasten in removing his hand after making musaafaha. Rather, one should allow the next person to remove his hand first.

Hazrat Anas (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that when any person would meet Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) and make musaafaha, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would not remove his hand, until the other person removed his hand first, and Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would not turn his face away (to leave from the place of meeting), until the other person turned his face away first (to leave from the place of meeting).
